  • *How quickly can I get results?

    In-pharmacy PCR results can be had as little as 1 hour depending on the service and location (Prestwich and Withington). Other locations, in -pharmacy PCR tests, results can be had in as quick as 24 hours.


    Rapid Antigen results are ready in 30 minutes at all our pharmacies. 

  • What if I have symptoms?

    If you think you have  covid you can check symptoms and access a test for covid-19 on the NHS

    If you have already made an appointment with us because you need a certificate (not available on the NHS) please do not attend the appointment. Please call us to let us know and we can reschedule your appointment.

  • Identity Check

    Please bring your valid passport in with you when you attend.

  • How long does the test take?

    Both the PCR (swab) test and Rapid antigen test only take a few minutes to conduct and the entire consultation takes around 10 minutes. 

  • What is a fit to fly certificate?

    Certain countries require evidence of a recent Covid 19 swab test (often called a PCR test) prior to travelling. Certain airlines require a negative-result certificate before allowing you to board a flight. 


    Some countries will accept a Rapid antigen and certicate as evidence of fit to fly - speak to our pharmacist for the latest information.

  • Can I get it on the NHS?

    If you have symptoms you can access a covid-19 test  from the NHS


    The NHS does NOT provide a fit to fly certificate/service. If you are in need of the certificate to travel abroad you need to access it privately. Our pharmacies provide this service in-store.

  • How will the results be sent to me?

    Results are sent via email directly from the testing facility. However, if you would like to have a printed copy of your certificate, please let the pharmacist know when you attend your appointment. This usually requires you to come back into the store to collect your printed copy.



  • What does having the test involve?

    The test involves a swab in the mouth and nose.

  • Will I need a retest?

    A very small proportion of patients may require a retest, we can assist with this . A re-test is a very reasonable £60.

  • Who can use the service?

    We offer the service privately to patients of all ages, including babies. Speak to our clincal Pharmacist for more advice.

  • Do I have to book or can I just walk in?

    Bookings guarantee a test appointment however, we can also accommodate walk-ins too. Please just give your preferred location a call to check availability.

  • How accurate is the result?

    No PCR test is 100% accurate. Our scientistist test both sensitivity as well as a specificity to give the most accurate result possible.
